Bank Reconcilation System

A mid-tier South African Bank required a software solution that centralizes all payment and financial data and uses this data to reconcile their SAMOS (The South African Multiple Option Settlement) account. The system was required to produce easy to understand reports and imbalance tracing.

I was required to understand the complete financials of the banking system and the financials of the SAMOS account. The software solution I designed and developed centralized data from the banking mainframe, MasterCard, and BankServ (ATM & EFT). Using the centralized data various algorithms were developed for the reconcilation.
